What’s better than putting on a good movie to finish off the night? A movie and some guilt-free popcorn! This is an easy recipe to make your own popcorn at home, and we’ve even added some spice suggestions here to add a zing to spice it up! This is a tasty and guilt-free version to avoid the sodium and fat content usually found in microwave popcorn.

Ingredients (Servings for 4)

  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Dash cayenne pepper
  • Dash ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup unpopped popcorn (Want to know how to make popcorn at home? See this article!)
  • Cooking spray
Cooking time: 10-15 minutes

Instructions

  1. Combine cumin, chili powder, salt if using, cayenne pepper, ground cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. Spread popped popcorn in an even layer in a large shallow baking pan.
  3. Lightly coat the popcorn with cooking spray.
  4. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the popcorn; toss to coat.
